Who We Are

Learning Advisers does two things: we build custom training programs for organizations, and we implement Canvas as a Certified Services Partner. Our head office is in Cairo, Egypt, and we have offices in Los Angeles, United States and Lusail, Qatar. Our addresses are listed on our contact page.

This notice explains what happens to personal information when you use this website. In it, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Learning Advisers. “You” means the person using the site.

If you have a question about anything here, or you want us to act on one of the rights described below, email info@learningadvisers.com.

What This Notice Covers

This notice covers this website only — the pages served at learningadvisers.com.

It does not cover Canvas. Where your employer or your institution has given you a Canvas account, that platform is run by Instructure and the organization that licenses it decides what is collected and why. Their privacy notice governs it, not this one — even where we were the partner who implemented it. Ask your organization, or email us and we will point you to the right contact.

What We Collect

Information you send us

The enquiry form on our contact page asks for:

• Your name and work email address — required, because we cannot reply without them.
• Your organization, phone number and the subject of your enquiry — optional.
• Your message — whatever you choose to tell us about what your teams need to learn.

Please do not send us sensitive personal information through this form — national identification numbers, payment card details, health information, or personal data about other people. It is not the right channel for any of that, and we do not need it to answer an enquiry.

If you email us directly instead, we receive whatever your message contains.

Information collected automatically

This website is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Like any web host, Azure keeps standard server logs of requests reaching the site — typically the IP address the request came from, the time, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure and are used for security and for keeping the service running. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything you send through the form.

What This Website Does Not Do

Much of what a privacy notice usually has to explain does not apply here, because this site does not do it. Specifically:

• It sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
• It stores nothing in your browser — no local storage, no session storage, no device fingerprinting.
• It runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Microsoft Clarity, no Meta Pixel, and no equivalent.
• It loads nothing from third parties. Every font, image, stylesheet and script on this site is served from our own domain. No advertising network, social platform or content delivery network sees your visit, because your browser never contacts one.
• It shows no advertising and does no remarketing or behavioural targeting.
• It has no social login, no user accounts and no payments.
• We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
• We make no automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects. A person reads every enquiry.

One clarification, so the point above is not overstated: this site does contain ordinary links out to other websites — our LinkedIn page, and Microsoft's privacy statement. Nothing loads from them while you are here, but if you click one you leave our site and that website's own privacy notice takes over. We have no control over what they do.

Why We Use It, and On What Basis

We use what you send through the enquiry form for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry. An adviser reads it, works out what we could actually do for you, and replies.

We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form before sending it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us — see Your Rights below. Withdrawing consent does not make our earlier use of the information unlawful, but it does mean we stop.

Where we continue a conversation you started, or keep a record of advice we gave you, we also rely on our legitimate interest in running and documenting our business — balanced against your interests, which is why we keep only what the conversation needs.

Who Sees It

Your enquiry is delivered to a Learning Advisers mailbox and read by our advisers. Beyond that, the only third party involved is Microsoft, in two roles:

• Microsoft Azure hosts this website and runs the small service that accepts the form and turns it into an email.
• Microsoft 365 carries and stores the resulting email, as it does the rest of our business correspondence.

Microsoft acts as our processor: it handles the data to provide those services to us and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes. Microsoft's own privacy statement is at privacy.microsoft.com.

We do not pass your information to anyone else — no data brokers, no advertising networks, no marketing platforms. We would disclose information if we were legally required to, for example under a valid court order or a lawful request from a regulator, and we would tell you unless we were prohibited from doing so.

Where It Is Processed

We operate from Egypt, the United States and Qatar, and our advisers may read your enquiry from any of those offices.

The website and the service behind the enquiry form run in Microsoft's West Europe region. Email is handled by Microsoft 365. This means your information may be transferred across borders — including to countries whose data protection laws differ from those where you live. Microsoft maintains contractual data protection commitments covering these transfers.

How Long We Keep It

Your enquiry lives as email correspondence. We keep it while we are dealing with it, and then for up to 24 months from our last contact with you. After that it is deleted.

Why 24 months. Our buyers are universities, school districts and companies, and those decisions run on academic years and procurement rounds rather than weeks. An enquiry raised in one budget cycle is often picked up in the next, and we would rather resume a conversation than make you start it again. We do not keep it beyond that in case it turns out to be useful.

If your enquiry becomes an engagement, the correspondence forms part of the client record for that work and is kept under the agreement for it instead.

If you would like it deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it.

Server logs kept by our hosting provider are retained on that provider's standard schedule and are not held by us beyond it.

How We Protect It

This site is served only over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and us is encrypted. It sends a strict Content-Security-Policy and related security headers, which limit what a browser will execute on the page. The service that receives your enquiry validates and length-limits every field, and it is written so that the contents of your enquiry are never written into our application logs — only whether delivery succeeded or failed.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. But this site collects little, stores nothing of its own, and passes what it does collect straight into a mailbox.

If a breach did occur and it was likely to put your rights at risk, we would tell you and the relevant authority, without waiting to be asked.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over the personal information we hold about you:

• Access — ask what we hold and get a copy.
• Correction — have inaccurate information put right.
• Deletion — ask us to erase it.
• Withdraw consent — tell us to stop, at any time.
• Object or restrict — ask us to stop or pause a particular use.
• Portability — receive what you gave us in a portable form.
• Complain — raise it with the data protection authority where you live.

To exercise any of these, email info@learningadvisers.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for this, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, so that we are not disclosing someone's information to the wrong person.

Children

This website is aimed at organizations buying workplace training. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information through this site, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Notice

If we change how this site handles personal information, we will update this page and change the date below. Where a change is significant, we will say what changed rather than quietly reissuing the page.
