Train for Skills, Not for Completion Rates
Most corporate training measures the wrong thing. It counts who finished a course, not who can now do the work. Canvas Career — Instructure’s workforce platform, generally available since January 2026 — is built the other way round, and we implement it.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT HERE
What Corporate Get Wrong, and What Works
Skills-first, not completion-first
Canvas Career maps programs to competencies rather than to a course catalogue. A learner sees the skills they are building and how far along a role pathway they are; you see where the capability gaps actually sit. Completion becomes a step toward something measurable instead of the thing being measured.
It answers the question your board asks
Skillspace tracks progress in real time, and the reporting is generated rather than assembled by hand each quarter. Benchmarks compare your programs against industry peers. That turns “did people do the training” into “did capability move, and against what baseline”.
It connects to the systems you already run
Canvas Career integrates with HRIS and CRM platforms, so roles, joiners and leavers flow in rather than being re-keyed. This is the part that historically counted against Canvas for corporate buyers, and it is the part Canvas Career was built to answer.
WHAT WE DO
How We Work With You
Canvas Career implementation
Your skills taxonomy defined, role pathways built, competency mapping configured and the HRIS or CRM connection established — with the licence supplied through us at Instructure’s pricing.
Custom training programs
A skills framework is only as good as what sits behind it. We write the courses that do not exist yet — your products, your processes, your regulatory position — to SCORM, xAPI and cmi5, so they run in Canvas and anywhere else.
The part people skip
Defining a skills taxonomy that your organization will actually use is harder than configuring the platform that holds it. Instructional design and change management are inside the certification scope, and they are where these programs succeed or quietly fail.

We Work With Two Other Kinds of Organization
The offerings are the same. What changes is how they are configured and rolled out.
Which Skills, and How Would You Know?
Tell an adviser what capability your organization needs to build, how many people it affects, and what you use to track it today. You will get back how it would be mapped in Canvas Career, what content would have to be written, and what each part would take.
